But if you like what you see of how we live, then once you've gotten to know us well enough, and we've gotten to know you, we could consider you as a candidate for a room in a community house. Our two houses are currently full, but it's possible we will acquire another one soon to accommodate a few of our close friends who have been looking for a way to join us physically.

Meeting us

(DESCRIPTION OF HOW TO CONTACT US...) This would also be the place to ask about coming to any of the events described below.

Attending events

The most common entry point for participation in Star Community is the Forum gathering (link to section on New Culture page) that we hold every Sunday evening, alternating between Ryan House and Sky House with a Zoom option, as well as Wednesday afternoons (Zoom only). This is where we gather to share what's going on for us and how we feel about it, with facilitation to take us deeper into the feelings, which often helps point the way toward personal transformation. Once you've come to several Forums, you'll know many of us on a level much deeper than you'd be likely to reach in simple conversations.

If you want to start slower, we hold regular community dinners on Mondays at Ryan House and Fridays at Sky House, as well as seasonal gatherings featuring both a party atmosphere and reverent ceremonies. Or if you want to jump in deeper, you might consider signing up for Expand the Box, a three-day weekend training in the basics of Possibility Management, which will give you a great deal of context for how we think and talk about feelings and personal growth.

Joining Slack & our internal calendar

If you're planning to participate more regularly in community discussions and/or activities, definitely ask us about getting an invite to our community Slack team, which has dozens of active channels dedicated to everything from household logistics and event planning to philosophy, politics, race, and ecology. It can also be very helpful to get access to our shared Google calendar.
