Discussion

I think we're going to need to make a distinction, for the purposes of the StarCommunity, between:

  • TheAnonymous -- Individuals who absolutely do not want to have an Internet presence.
  • PublicallyUninvolved -- Individuals who do not feel a need to be anonymous, but who are not particularly focused on having a public presence, either.
  • PublicFigures -- Individuals who are good with being public, and intend to make communications and statements in view of the public.

By "the public," I mean something like -- "Visible to random passer-by'ers on the Internet, who may just be poking around." Humorously, we can imagine that this is an exposure of roughly 2,000,000,000 people, because that's about how many English speakers there are in the world, per Google.

These considerations were triggered by BenSibelman writing on the RyanHouse page, and trying to understand: "So, ... Who should we say lives here?"
