This is the page for working on the new static StarCommunity website we want to create in 2021.

ReaClute, BenSibelman, and LionKimbro met 2021-04-27, with some participation from FlorianBecquereau, and came up with the following menu headings:

  • WebsiteLayerCake -- unwritten (Jack and Gavin are working on it)
  • WebsiteContextOverProcedure -- Gavin writing (in progress)
  • WebsiteHousing -- Rea wrote
  • WebsiteCovidNineteen -- unwritten -- Gavin writing (on paper; in progress)
• Ideas
  • WebsiteVisionarySocieties -- ordinary life, the examples of Damanhur & Tamera, living in extraordinary & archetypal worlds (a piece by Lion)

Each page will have a header that includes the menu described here, then the central page content, and then a footer that includes information on how to contact us.

The very front page will have some text about what we are.

Disagreements:

• Whether and how to address Social Justice concerns.
• Rea wanted "Transparency" and "Values Conflict" to have top-level billing under "Ideas." Lion wanted "Sex & Intimacy -- New Culture" to have top-level billing under "Ideas." Lion's willing to just let it be "Visionary Societies. New Culture. Possibility Management," under ideas.
• Ben wanted it to say that we are a "intentional community" on the front page, because it's a quick way to give people a general idea of what kind of website they're on. Lion said, "No: It should say we are aspiring to be a visionary society" on the front page, and argues that calling ourselves an "intentional community" would be like Clinton Callahan calling what he does "psychology & therapy."
